DIY Memorial Candle Project for Anyone

This DIY memorial candle is a simple project that will mean so much. This project requires a 3″x6″ pillar candle, vellum paper, a printer, ribbon in two different sizes, and thin double sided tape. The personalization begins with the wording. It can be a poem, quote, or any phrase that is meaningful and relevant. Including a simple graphic can add just the right amount of detail. Be careful not to overwhelm the design with too many words or graphics.
Print the design onto vellum paper, and then cut the sheet to fit the candle. Secure in the back with double sided tape. Wrap the wider ribbon around the top of the vellum, and secure it in the back with double sided tape. Place the thinner ribbon on top of the wide ribbon and secure in the same manner. Repeat these steps for the bottom of the candle. Place the finished candle in a decorative pillar candle holder to complete the look. Memorial candles are a great way to remember our loved ones.
